OUTCROSS LINES USED BY CUSTOM STOCKDOGS

 

Bill Crowe's Sage

 

"Sage" was chosen by Kenneth to breed to his bitch "Kary" when he saw him working in a field trial in VA. The result was "Kuykendall's Salt", the dam of our two foundation females. Henry Kuykendall and Lou Ann Coulter's "Jake" was also from this litter. Thank you Harvie Martin for the picture of "Sage".

 

 

Imported Cap

 

"Cap" is the sire of "Custom Stockdogs Magik" when mated to our foundation female "Pepper". He is also the sire of Kent Kuykendall's "Jet" when mated to Pepper's full sister "Loch". Henry Kuykendall's "Jim" is from a mating of "Cap" to another full sister to Pepper, "Kate". "Kate" was produced by Custom Stockdogs and was a littermate to Kent's "Pal".  Cap is also the sire of Gwen's "Paige" when mated to "Salt". We acquired a puppy from Henry that traces back to Cap's litter brother. This will provide us with another piece of our line breeding puzzle.

 

Imported Mirk

 

"Mirk" is the sire of many of our best producing females. We used "Mirk" on "Mable" several times with great results.

 

 

 

 

Alex Harriet's Moss

 

We chose to take "Mable" to "Moss" for her last litter. The result is our stud dog "Custom Stockdogs Joe". We bred to "Moss" because of his working ability. He was being used on a large sheep and cattle operation in MO. He also had an excellent pedigree being an own son of "Dryden Joe".

 

 

Imported Coon

 

"Coon" came to Henry Kuykendall after a very successful trial career with John Thomas. He was from the last litter sired by Thomas' "Don". We were very fortunate to have the chance to breed to "Coon"

 

 

 

Imported Moss

 

"Moss" also came to Henry Kuykendall after a career with John Thomas. John got "Moss" after his current handler determined he was too much for him. This quality is what we strive to keep in our line so they can be used in any situation. "Moss" is a very steady and powerful worker and we have a few select individuals sired by him just starting to be trained.

 

Imported Jim

 

One of Henry Kuykendall's more recent additions, "Jim" is a very strong and quick worker. He also is bred very well. We used him on our "Kwik" last year and got a very interesting pup from this cross. We call him "Jim".

 

 

Imported Kate

 

Henry and Lou Ann were nice enough to let us pick a "Kate" puppy a year ago. "Kate" is bred right and provides us with some linebreeding opportunities. Our bitch from "Kate" we call "Bandit", is a daughter of Kuykendall's "Joe III". This also brings back in the same blood as our foundation lines.
